Snack Bar App: Case Study

An App created to pre order snacks for the cinema. The product's goal is create ease for users who frequently visit the cinema but do not have time to stand in long lines and wish to pre order their snacks for a hassle free experience.

As a product designer, extensive qualitative research was conducted to understand the needs of the users, interviews were organised with a different range of people to assist them with the use of pre ordering cinema snacks. Wireframes were drawn, mockups were created and prototyping was performed to get the final polished designs.

Book Share App: Case study

Book Share is a free and easy to install app that bridges the gap by fostering a community of learners, promotes accessibility, sustainability and empowers students to reach their full potential. Available in every city in Pakistan.

The idea and concept for Book share originated when user research was conducted to find out what kind of apps would people be interested in. Many parents and students complained about the lack of a book exchange service in Pakistan where pre owned books and notes could easily be exchanged or donated to help others in their quest for knowledge or higher studies.

Interviews were conducted to gain insight into what the users needed and an easy to use app was then designed keeping all the factors in mind.

Salsa Bakes: Package Design

Salsa Bakes is a small brand based in Karachi, Pakistan that offers delightful macarons other french pastries. Started from humble beginnings, it has now scaled to larger cafes and restaurants.

Since her products were very colourful, I decided to keep the whimsical element in her package design along with little glimpses of the city Karachi that Salsa Bakes wanted incorporated into her design. The entire design process was fun and that definitely reflects in the work!

My Climate Journal

A German Mayor funded project from concept development to the final published book for children based on environmental protection. A children's activity book for children with quizzes, word puzzles and other fun activities for children to learn about the environment, the ozone layer, pollution, weather and other important areas about the environment. The book comprises fun illustrations, activities and a certificate once the children have finished all the activities in the book.

All the activities, illustrations and information in the book has been modified for the children of pakistan particularly those who belong to an underprivileged background. Extensive research was conducted to alter the language, background setting and other areas of the book so the children can relate to the book cohesively.

kindergarten am Leuchtturm:

Music CD cover design

This lovely and vibrant music CD cover design came into existence when the Kindergarten that my young children attended in Germany approached me to help them with a project. The teachers along with the students loved to sing and wanted to record the songs and make it into an official album.

The project became so successful that they ended up selling the CDs and put the songs on spotify, their website also publicizes the creation of the album.

Kindergarten am Leuchtturm: Signboard design

The kindergarten am Leuchtturm in Germany existed for many years but without a signboard. They approached me to design their signboard with a vision in mind_ the lighthouse. That was the most fundamental aspect of their signboard that they wanted in their final version.

Having a new signboard gave them recognition and helped them in attracting prospective parents. This also gave them an identity and a professional touch that they previously lacked.
